Bob Bethel, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Vice President—HR and Learning Services, The Employers’ Association
Bob is a graduate of the University of Toledo, with a Bachelor of Education, majoring in English. He began his career at The Andersons in retail management.  After many years in retail management, he started his career in Human Resources as the Employment and Recruitment Manager for The Andersons.

Since leaving The Andersons, he has served in Human Resource manager/director positions at S.E. Johnson, Michigan Paving and Materials, St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, The Douglas Company, and Bittersweet Farms. During his career he has also served in leadership capacities of several organizations, including the Toledo Christian Schools Board of Directors, the Toledo Area Human Resource Association (TAHRA), Ohio Human Resource Conference Committee, and the Ohio SHRM State Council, serving as President or Chair of each organization. He is also serving a fifth term as a Springfield Township Trustee. Bob holds a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) with the Human Resource Certification Institute and SHRM.

Tim Butler, LPCC
Tim brings his experience of over 20 years in the business sector and combines it with his 12 years in the field of psychology to give you valuable insight and tools you use immediately. He assists others in working through their own personal struggles as well as helping them to better manage conflict. Tim works as a consultant and lectures widely on issues related to mental health. Tim counsels at the Center for Solutions in Brief Therapy at 5600 Monroe Street, Sylvania, OH. Tim’s teaching style is very interactive. Adults learn best when they are actively involved versus simply listening to monologist instruction. A fun atmosphere is a must in removing defenses to personal change and is employed greatly in all of the learning material.

Sheila Eason, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Senior HR Consultant, The Employers’ Association 
Sheila is an experienced HR leader with over 25+ years of diverse human resources and management experience that spans healthcare, market research, and professional staffing companies. She has extensive experience in the areas of HR compliance, employee relations, performance management, recruiting and staffing, and training and development. She has lead HR initiatives, including policy design, handbook development, diversity program management, HRIS implementations, and HR workflow development.

Prior to joining the EA Team, Sheila held human resources leadership positions for The Toledo Clinic, a multi-specialty medical clinic, and Heartland Healthcare Services, an institutional pharmacy. In both roles, Sheila was the Human Resources Director where she was responsible for ensuring alignment of HR strategies with business initiatives and goals. Her responsibilities included management of employee relations, talent acquisition/management, HR compliance, and benefits administration. Sheila also performed various roles such as HR Generalist, Recruiter, Corporate Trainer, and EEO Specialist at diverse companies, including TNS NFO, St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, and HCR Manor Care.

Sheila earned her B.S. in Business Administration as well as her Masters of Organization Development from Bowling Green State University.

She holds a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) with the Human Resource Certification Institute and SHRM Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is Past President of the Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association (NOHRA).

Jack Hollister, President, The Employers’ Association
Since 1997, Jack has led The EA as its president, developing the overall direction of the Association and managing its day-to-day activities. He also trains and consults in the areas of leadership development, strategic planning and the utilization of the DISC profile for team-building purposes. In his spare time, Jack enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and golfing.

Colleen House, SHRM-SCP, Senior HR Consultant, The Employers’ Association 
Colleen joined the team in 2018, bringing with her 18+ years’ experience serving in HR operational and leadership roles in manufacturing, retail, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations. She has a broad generalist background including staff development, employee relations & engagement, performance management, recruitment and onboarding, policy development, benefits, FMLA, workers’ comp and more. In her role as an HR consultant with the EA, she uses her experience, perspectives and lessons learned in her various roles to assist EA members with their HR needs.  She has a passion for helping to create positive and engaged workplace cultures and brings this to life by aligning an organization’s people strategy to its business strategy.

Colleen is a graduate of The University of Toledo and holds a certification as a SHRM Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management and is a certified PI Talent Optimizer.

Dave Hyslop, Ph.D
Dave has served as a trainer and consultant to various service, industrial, and non-profit organizations for over 20 years. In addition to his business experience as a production supervisor for General Motors and manager with AT & T, he has served as a business education professor and department chair at Bowling Green State University for over 25 years. Dave’s consulting experience includes leadership and leadership assessments, employee motivation, communication, and performance development. Dave has formal training as a coach and is currently serving in this capacity for leaders in a number of organizations.

Dave Tippett, PHR, Director, On Site Training and Consultation, The Employers’ Association 
Dave is well-known in the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan business community for his enthusiasm, training creativity and commitment to helping people work better, together. He has a rich history as a problem solver and provider of excellent training over the past 30 years.

Before coming to The Employers’ Association, he worked and trained for a large behavioral healthcare organization. Before then, Dave was a Human Resources Director in Toledo for ten years.

Dave has provided training for a number of area companies and organizations, including Campbell Soup, General Motors, Whirlpool, Libbey Inc., Sauder’s Woodworking and Signature Bank to name a few. He is also Past President of two area SHRM chapters, served a Co-Chair for three large regional HR conferences, is a published and award winning playwright, author, above average husband and father to several “fur children”. Dave and wife, Jill, make their home in Gibsonburg, OH. Dave is a graduate of the University of Toledo and holds a Professional Human Resources certification from the Society of Human Resources
