More than 700 organizations are members of the EA. We’re humbled to say that many of them have been with us for more than 20 years.

Why We Exist
The Employers’ Association serves regional employers in their efforts to build great cultures by providing Human Resource Management Information and Consulting, Training and Development and Workplace Wellness.

Megan Vahey Casiere
Sarah is the EA’s marketing guru. She maintains the EA’s website, coordinates our social media presence and designs direct mail, eblasts, flyers and marketing pieces. As the EA’s resident travel bug, Sarah enjoys exploring new places, as well as spending time with her family and friends, gardening, exercise, watching movies, and soccer.
Rebecca maintains the books for the EA. She has a fine arts background and discovered her love of accounting in her second career. She loves a well-designed spreadsheet and enjoys streamlining processes and finding new ways to be more efficient. In her free-time she enjoys making art, reading and playing with her dachshund Edith.
Karin is the first friendly face you see when visiting the EA and the voice you hear when calling in on the phone! She has a variety of roles within the EA such as invoicing, registration, assisting with On-Site Learning & Consulting, and Seminar Learning...just to name a few! She loves spending time with her son and is a HUGE Ohio State Buckeyes and Buffalo Bills fan!
Russ is all about spreading the word to employers that the EA is ready to assist them in attaining their goals. When its time to recharge Russ and his family enjoy pontoon boating on the Irish Hills lakes or a winter time get away to the sub-tropics.
Seta Tchobanian, MBA
Seta brings over 25 years of Human Resources and Training experience to the EA. Her strong HR Generalist background includes working for employers of all different sizes and well as industries including private, public and non-profit. She received her BA in Business Management from the University of Toledo and her MBA from Cleveland State University. Seta is active in the community serving as a past member of the Owens Community College Marketing Advisory Board and currently is the Board President for Manahan in Holland, OH. She is also a girl scout troop leader and volunteers on school committees and with athletic booster events where her children attend.
Bob Bethel, SPHR
Bob’s career in human resources has led him through a number of area organizations. EA members tap into his extensive experience via our HR Hotline and by engaging him for training and consulting projects. Bob is involved in the HR Professional community as a past Director of the Ohio SHRM State Council and in the local community as a Springfield Township Trustee.
Phyllis Cole, SHRM-SCP
Phyllis brings 30 years of HR experience to the EA, and assists member companies with various projects related to HR. In addition to her HR expertise, Phyllis has served in leadership roles in the HR Community holding various Officer positions for Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association (NOHRA). She also served on the Ohio Human Resources Conference committee (through Ohio SHRM) as well as the Toledo Area HR Associations’ Conference (THRAC) for many years. Phyllis earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toledo and her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Findlay.
Keenen is a dedicated professional with 12+ years experience in human resources. He brings comprehensive knowledge of HR practices from preceding roles / organizations. Outside of the office Keenen likes to give back to the community through mentoring young men in the Alpha Esquire program where he sits on the board as chairman and also coaching high school girls basketball.
Chris Henning, SHRM-SCP, CBP
Chris brings 30+ years of HR experience to the EA. She has held HR leadership positions in construction, manufacturing, and agriculture organizations. In her role with the EA, she brings with her the experience, knowledge, and lessons learned in her previous roles to assist EA members with their HR needs. Chris has served on the boards and committees of state and local HR organizations as well as an Advisory Board member for a local credit union for the past 15 years. Chris earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resources from the University of Toledo. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, gardening, exercise and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and friends.
Randy comes to The EA with nearly twenty years of experience within human resources. The most recent fourteen are within hospital acute care. Also within his background are several years of college advising, real estate, and social services/crisis intervention experience. After completing his baccalaureate at Bowling Green State University in communication and psychology, he left Ohio for the West Coast. Living in California, Arizona, and Washington before returning to Northwest Ohio. Being somewhat of a “professional student”, Randy completed course work toward several graduate degrees as well as many courses in languages (not proficient in any!) and the arts. Family, friends, travel and projects around the house round out the rest of his free time.
Colleen has been a generalist in the human resources field for 20+ years. Prior to that she worked in the fields of marketing and sales in Toledo, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Philadelphia. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, with a major in French. Colleen loves to travel, especially to, yes, France. But anywhere will do. She also likes biking, exercising, reading, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Drew Peterson, PHR
Drew is a recent MBA graduate from Bowling Green State University and is excited to be a part of the HR Solutions team. She is looking forward to building relationships with our members and assisting them with their HR needs. She loves running, interior decoration, visiting national parks, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs!
Renea has experience in supervision and Human Resources, although her passion is sharing leadership skills and encouraging others to lead from where they are. In her spare time, Renea loves to get out in nature and see how muddy and stuck she can get in her Jeep. If trails are not an option, she’s in her backyard playing with the dogs.
Judi is no stranger to the world of HR and Customer Service and loves interacting with the EA’s members as the Membership and Seminar Learning Assistant. In her spare time, Judi loves movies, concerts, crafting, and turning trash into treasure. Her ideal day at home is filled with home and garden projects.
Andy is a graduate from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English. Andy has taught self-defense and awareness for over 25 years to various businesses, non-profits, schools, universities, small groups, and individuals. In his spare time, he enjoys long walks on a beach or in a forest, enjoys Martial Arts and exercise, reading, watching movies and doing the laundry. Otherwise, the days are filled with being a personal Uber for his boys and all of their activities.
Terry truly enjoys getting to know the EA members as he plans and manages our public seminars and conferences. Outside the office, he likes attending classic car shows, reading, and spending time with his wonderful family and friends. His biggest challenge is not stopping to pet every dog he happens to see.
Sally’s passion for health and wellness is about helping to improve the quality of life for others. Her background in corporate wellness and health coaching help her clients achieve their wellness goals. Sally enjoys being active with her two young children. She hopes to pass on her love of fitness, health, and the outdoors to them.
As an EA Wellness Manager, Megan enjoys working with her groups to set health goals and to improve quality of life. She is responsible for coordinating and implementing internal and external wellness challenges and activities, assisting with health assessments, and conducting wellness screenings with her groups. Megan enjoys spending time at the lake with her family and playing volleyball.
In the wellness consultant role, Paige enjoys having a hands-on approach assisting her clients in implementing their organizations health and wellness goals. Paige is responsible for organizing onsite Health Checks, implementing the group’s wellness initiatives, and helping organizations see the benefit of their wellness program. In her spare time Paige enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and all things related to Pittsburgh Steeler Football.
Melanie received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Morehead State University and her Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Dayton. She has a deep passion for wellness and helping others set and reach goals. When she’s not assisting others to lead a healthier lifestyle, she enjoys taking care of herself and family. Running is where she finds her peace. Her free time is mostly taken up with her kids' activities, watching them compete on the football field, baseball diamond, volleyball court and wrestling mat brings her joy. Most of all she enjoys making memories on vacations or in her back yard with her husband, kids and close friends.
Lauren brings her background in Corporate Wellness and Health Advising to the EA in her role as a Wellness Consultant. She is passionate about helping others set goals to achieve optimal total wellness. When she’s not scripting a to-do list, planning out healthy meals for the week, or chasing around her young daughters: Emma and Ella, Lauren enjoys hiking, landscaping, and traveling.
Elissa is a graduate from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. She brings her science background and passion for helping others to the role of Wellness Consultant. She is excited to help our members utilize EA Wellness Programming to work towards their wellbeing goals. In her spare time, Elissa can be found attempting new recipes, laughing with friends, or pulling the fur off her clothes from her orange tabby cat, Sunny.
Jessica has a Nutrition and Dietetics degree from Kent State University and has been in the wellness industry for over 10 years. Her experience ranges from the nutrition department in an assisted living facility, to health coaching, to the corporate wellness world. In her current role as a wellness consultant, she loves helping clients implement a well-rounded wellness program that fits the needs of their employees and culture. Jessica has two children that keep her very busy (but in the best way!), and also loves to spend time with her husband and family, being active, and attempting new recipes.
Shannon Richardson, M.S.
Shannon graduated from the University of Kentucky with her Masters of Science in Health Promotion. Her experience with health and wellness ranges from teaching and coaching individuals to improve and achieve their wellness goal(s) to planning, implementing, and evaluating programs for a healthy lifestyle in worksite wellness. She enjoys positively promoting health, giving back to her community by volunteering for Girls on the Run, staying active, and cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Kentucky Wildcats!
McKenzie brings her education from Bowling Green State University, and background of working in the healthcare field to the Wellness Consultant role. Although she is new to wellness, she also has a very competitive drive from her experience working in College Athletics, to bring out the active lifestyle in others. In her free time, McKenzie enjoys being on the lake, running around Metroparks, and going to football games.
Mandy is a graduate of Bowling Green State University where she earned a Bachelor of Education Degree, majoring in Exercise Science. She brings 18 years of health & wellness experience to the EA. Mandy is passionate about helping people live their “best lives” and strives to lead by example. She is an avid long distance trail runner, and enjoys hiking, biking, rollerblading, and camping with her husband and two children.
Brandi uses her many years of experience in community health programming to create innovative programs and approaches for her clients. She loves helping others find wellness solutions for their individual lifestyles. Brandi is an avid yogi and enjoys singing and playing her guitar, the Cincinnati Reds, and the BGSU Falcons.
