In this class, we will discuss the issue of substance use in the workplace, and explore what employers can do to help combat it.

Topics to be discussed will include the following:

• Understand related laws and regulations

• Recognize the warning signs of substance use

• Understand the concept of reasonable suspicion

• Know the role of the supervisor

• Identify the role of an employee assistance program (EAP)
