In-Person Training is available! The EA is committed to providing our members with a wide variety of team development and learning options to best meet your needs. With that in mind, we are pleased to introduce a select set of seminars that will be offered with an in-person option as well as a live-online option. These hybrid classes will be presented live in the Training Room at our facility in Maumee and broadcast to remote locations via Zoom.
In order to maintain the safety of our learners and instructors, in-person slots will be limited to the first six (6) registrants for each class so as to allow for social distancing according to CDC guidelines. Masks will be required for attendees and instructors while inside the EA facilities. Thank you for looking to The EA for your team training needs. Companies need to develop and use a compensation philosophy that fits with their mission and vision.  It should guide how they set pay for new hires, how they determine promotional increases, and how they ensure internal equity.  It is a key component of attracting and retaining employees.  During this session we will discuss how to build an effective compensation structure, explore ways to determine whether your pay structure is at market level (and what you can do if it isn’t), and much more.

Topics to be covered include the following:

  • Developing an organizational compensation philosophy
  • Conducting a job analysis
  • Establishing overall pay grades and/or pay ranges
  • Performing market research: what’s the company down the street paying?
    • Auditing your pay for individual employees to ensure there are no discrimination issues
    • Developing policies/procedures for making compensation decisions
