With that in mind, we are pleased to introduce a select set of seminars that will be offered with an in-person option as well as a live-online option. These hybrid classes will be presented live in the Training Room at our facility in Maumee and also broadcast via Zoom so that you can pick the format that works best for you and your team! The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) continues to frustrate human resource managers with its many deadlines, open-ended requirements for employees, and complex relationship to other federal employment laws. Intermittent leave continues to be particularly difficult to monitor and control.
This seminar will review the key elements of FMLA, discuss how employers can maintain better control over intermittent leave, and discuss the interaction between FMLA, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and state workers’ compensation law. The rights of employers under FMLA – and what employers must do to retain those rights – will be stressed.
This is an intermediate level seminar appropriate for those with a working knowledge of FMLA. It will be especially useful for those responsible for implementing FMLA in their workplace.
